ProMedica is currently searching for an ambitious and driven individual to join its team in the critical role of Associate General Counsel. This individual will provide expert support and advice to the General Counsel/Chief Legal Officer and will direct the work of in-house attorneys, ensuring a well-coordinated and dynamic team that is able to successfully meet the needs of internal customers, including the ProMedica Executive Council. The Associate General Counsel will utilize their deep knowledge and experience in drafting and/or reviewing corporate governance documents, preparing correspondence, resolutions, minutes of meetings, internal policies and procedures, contracts, promissory notes, leases, pleadings, and other legal documents. The ideal candidate will meet the following requirements: • Doctorate of Jurisprudence; membership in the Ohio Bar Association.
• Minimum of 8 years in a law firm specializing in health care law and related issues or 8 years as in -house counsel for a complex health care system.
• Experience in drafting and negotiating contractual arrangements. • Significant knowledge of laws and regulations regarding health care regulatory, corporate and transactional matters (eg. Stark, Anti-trust, F&A Anti-kickback, HIPPA, Medicare)
