Law Director - City of Sandusky

The City of Sandusky is accepting applications for the position of City Law Director. The person in this position will be responsible for the preparation of all contracts, bonds and agreements of the City; drafting of Ordinances and Resolutions; preparing and directing all litigation involving the municipality; providing written legal opinions when appropriate; providing legal advice, counsel and support to the City Manager, department heads and staff in the conduct of the daily operations of the City. The ideal candidate for this position will be dynamic and energetic and must possess active registered status with the Supreme Court of Ohio.  The City Law Director must have a high level of practical legal knowledge and experience in order to directly manage and monitor complex and significant litigation and contractual negotiations including labor relations.
