Joan H. Rife Sworn In as President of Toledo Bar Association
Service Awards Presented; New Board of Directors Installed
Attorney Joan H. Rife was sworn in as the 118th president of the Toledo Bar Association for the 2018-2019 membership year at the Association's Annual Meeting on Tuesday, June 12, at The Park Inn.
Rife is in solo practice limited to issues involving public transportation, Workers’ Compensation and Social Security Disability. Rife is from St. Clair, MI. She graduated from Adrian College magna cum laude with majors in political science and English. She attended the University of Toledo, College of Law from which she was a cum laude graduate in 1982.
Rife took the oath of office from Hon. James G Carr, senior judge, U.S. District Court Northern District of Ohio. Attorney Stuart F. Cubbon served as Master of Ceremonies and introduced Rife. Rife will formally assume leadership duties for the Toledo Bar Association on July 1.

The Toledo Bar Association presented the following awards to members:
Dennis A. Lyle, Esq. received the Community Service Award. The recipient of the Trustees Award for outstanding service to the Toledo Bar Association is Craig M. Witherell, Esq.
