Support the Pro Bono Legal Services Program

The Toledo Bar Association is proud of its Pro Bono Legal Services Program that provides volunteer attorneys for low income individuals in a variety of legal issues.

Types of cases handled include divorces; bankruptcies; minor probate matters; tort defenses; guardianships; and real estate matters. The Pro Bono Program offers several clinics, including the Juvenile Court Clinic; the Divorce Clinic; and the Expungement Clinic. The Pro Bono Program does not handle criminal cases.

The Pro Bono Program is a success due to the attorneys who volunteer and donate to support the program. Please consider joining your colleagues to support Pro Bono.

To join the Pro Bono Panel of attorneys complete this volunteer form, or contact the Toledo Bar Association Pro Bono Program at 419-418-5323 or pintagliata@toledobar.org.

The 2012 TBA Pro Bono Program Campaign is underway. Please make your donation today!

A Pro Bono Success:
Assisting Hannah's Socks

Pro Bono Pic 1

Attorney Fred Charpie answered the call for a pro bono attorney to assist a new non-profit organization with a trademark application.

That non-profit is Hannah’s Socks, which collects and distributes donated socks to homeless shelters.

At the age of 4, while helping her mother serve Thanksgiving dinners at the Cherry Street Mission, Hannah noticed a man with no socks. The next day, Hannah and her mother bought and distributed 100 pairs of warm socks to people at the Mission. A charity was born!

“Hannah and her parents are amazing people doing wonderful things to help those less privileged. We were happy to help their efforts. In return, we were provided with levels of personal and professional satisfaction that are hard to put into words. Our rewarding experience with Hannah’s Socks has led us to look for more opportunities to be involved with the Pro Bono Program.”
