#thatsharassment

Every day brings a new report in the media and social media of harassment in the workplace. High profile media personalities, celebrities, politicians and CEOS have been ousted from their positions. But workplace harassment affects virtually every industry and profession, and employees at every level and from every demographic. This CLE will address two important issues critical to preventing and eliminating workplace harassment. First, what constitutes harassment? What is the legal definition, and how have the courts interpreted claims of harassment? And second, how can employees and employers prevent harassment, or effectively address it when it occurs? And can this be done without resort to litigation? What proactive, legal measures can eliminate harassment? Panels of experts will share their experiences and ideas based on applicable legal principles to attack this pervasive problem.
