Marissa will be discussing the differences and considerations regarding pro-active planning with Asset Protection Trusts vs. “crisis” planning.

2:00-3:00         Special Needs Trusts

Carol Sobczak, Shumaker, Loop, and Kendrick
Carol will discuss the intricacies and best practices regarding setting up and maintaining the status of a Special Needs Trust.

3:00-3:15         Break

3:15-4:15         Annuities and Estate and Tax Planning

                             Jason Harris and Alex Solove, Equitable Advisors

Jason and Alex will discuss how annuities could help remove liquid assets from an estate, how those are taxed, and case studies where annuities have helped.

All registration fees must be paid in full prior to the start of the seminar. Cancellations received prior to the seminar will be refunded less a $30 administration fee. No refunds or transfers given for cancellations received on or after the day of the program. Upon request, course materials are available in consideration of tuition paid. The TBA reserves the right to modify or cancel a program if circumstances warrant. If the TBA cancels a program, full tuition will be refunded.
